From her love of travel and fashion, Darneshia shares with Shapely her inspiration and how motivating other women brings her joy.
What inspires your style?
Honestly, it just depends on my mood. Some days I want to be comfortable however on most days I want to be sexy. Ultimately, I want to be free to express myself everyday.

This month, Shapely is focused on all the ways one can love themselves from mental health to experiences. Not everyone needs to find love outside of themselves. How do you express and practice self-love?
I practice self-love by doing whatever makes me happy. I love to pamper myself; from spa days, getting my hair done to buying a new pair of shoes, etc. Taking care of ourselves is a great way to express self-love. Be your own happiness and that’s when you begin to glow.

What can people learn from plus size influencers, like yourself?
I help other plus size women learn how to be confident about themselves. Many women have reached out to me because they wanted to know how to boost their self-esteem. However, they learn the how-to by watching me love on my curves and I love it! It is such a great feeling to help another woman feel deserving and beautiful. Whether it’s through my content or personal styling, people learn how to live their own lives to the fullest and look great while doing so.

Give us three principles that you live by that have added to your success? It can be a quote or your own values.
When you look good, you feel good is the first principle that I live by because it is so true. I am at my best when I am well-dressed, honey! The second principle is to control my energy. Being a plus size influencer, I get a lot of positive feedback but of course there will be some negative comments. I block all negativity immediately and keep it moving. Third, is to live life unapologetically, do you and be your authentic self.
