Ready to have a fun day out and unleash your inner child? Shapely Social invites you to experience “Pop in the City.” Pop in the City is a 120-foot-long Inflatable immersive experience right in the heart of midtown. This custom-built installation includes “a series of interconnected domes, each housing separate interactive elements that reflect an immersive and abstract take on New York, its people, and its culture,” a press release shares.
Although open until August 28, Shapely is hosting a group meetup on August 21 at 5:00pm. Pop in the City suggests guests arrive 5-10 minutes before the ticketed time. As such, we will be meeting at 4:30pm to allow for introductions and a little small talk before getting started. Shapely’s designated meetup spot will be on 33rd street and 6th avenue.
The fun continues with dinner at the Dallas BBQs in Chelsea. Your presence at dinner is optional. All components of this meetup are self pay. To attend Pop in the City, simply visit their website where you will be prompted to select your desired date and time. In this instance, one would select August 21, 2022 at 5:00pm. Once you’ve done that, click the “join the group” button below to fill out the form and we’ll add you to our group. Slots are expected to sell out quickly. It’s advised that you obtain your tickets now. Concerning dinner, one pays for what they order.

What if the time slot is sold out?
Select 5:30pm only if the 5:00pm tickets are sold out. We’ll wait for everyone registered in our group to experience Pop in the City before leaving for dinner.
What is the weight limit?
A weight limit was not posted on their website. We reached out to customer service and was informed that there wasn’t a weight limit, score! Everyone is welcomed to come out and enjoy.
How will we get to dinner?
The Chelsea Dallas BBQ’s is located at 261 8th avenue, New York, NY 10011 wish is approximately a 20-minute walk. A cab ride takes about 7 minutes depending on traffic. For those that are driving, meter rules are often not in effect. However, it is your responsibility to check. Know before you go!
What is the nearest train station?
The nearest subway is 34 Street – Herald Square, served by the D,F,N,Q and R lines.
How long does each session last?
Each timed session lasts for 30 minutes.
Is it clean?
Pop in the City’s enhanced cleaning protocols are in place and include:
A focus on the regular cleaning of high-touch areas between sessions as well as their regular deep cleaning schedule for the attraction
Using a specific ball pit cleaning machine for cleaning the ball pits regularly, and the actual balls themselves feature technology called ‘GermBlock,’ which gives antimicrobial protection.
Before entering the attraction, every ticket holder is given brand new disposable covers to put over their feet.
