We are wrapping up our Black History Month series with our very own Art Director, Latoya Burris. Who is impacting the plus size community by educating everyone on branding.

Who is your Black History hero and why?

My Black History hero is Marcus Garvey Jr., because he was all about Black people becoming completely independent and knowing their history.

How do you plan to make an impact as a Black member of the plus size community?

I am a seasoned graphic designer with over 11 years experience in creative services and communication. My goal is to support other Black business' to understand the importance of branding and to educate them on what branding is all about through participating in more public speaking opportunities.

Tell us a fun fact about myself.

I use to be a powerlifter and my last personal record was 375 lbs., for the deadlift.
