Streetwear for the Big Guy

I’m a lover of streetwear and if it has some dope graphics, that’s a plus. One of his favorite go-to brands is BKYS. Black Keys Clothing is a modern streetwear brand which provides the latest urban styles at an affordable price. The brand features multiple colorful graphics on shirts and pants with embroidery and detailed stitching that stands out from the rest.

Heritage America is great for Denim. Let me acknowledge that I am smaller on the bottom and huskier on the top. I’m also acknowledging that there are plenty of others that share my shape and size so have at it. Heritage America pants typically run up to a size 42, they even have shorts!

Here are my top 3 style principles:

  1. One busy article at a time.
If your pants are busy, do a simpler top and vice versa.  However, there are exceptions. How do you know if you’re doing too much? Ask yourself, are your garments complimenting each other or fighting each other? If the latter is true, it’s time to switch it up.

  2. Just because it has a label doesn’t mean its fashion.
In a world where so many people appear to be in the “how many labels can I show” contest, less can be more. Just because its name brand, doesn’t mean it looks good.  How can you gauge? Ask yourself if you would wear it if it didn’t have a label on it. If the answer is no, skip it.

  3. Don’t be afraid to brand mix.
I’ve noticed that sometimes we find what works for us and stick to it. In doing so you run the risk of boxing yourself in. Although you may be comfortable in that store or on that site, don’t be afraid to venture out. Also, you may not find a whole wardrobe in one store but you may find a piece or two that will complement your wardrobe.

Finally, streetwear for the big guy doesn’t have to be complicated. There are plenty of options that exist for us nowadays. Let me know what you fellas are rocking by commenting below.
