Let’s be real—traveling with Curvy Ventures is like stepping into a rom-com meets a reality show where you’re the star, and everyone’s rooting for your fabulousness. My first international trip with them was in November 2023, and honey, they’ve got me hooked!
1. Ultimate Freedom: Do You, Boo
Curvy Ventures gets it: sometimes you want to dive into adventure, and other times, you just want to sip something strong by the pool. I love that during the day, everyone goes off to do their own thing, but we always reconnect over dinner, a meal, or a gathering. It’s the perfect balance of independence and community.

Trust is key, and if I bring my mom and uncle on a trip, you know it’s good. My mom even told me this was one of the few trips where she felt genuinely looked after by the fellas. This trip was the pinnacle of my mother’s body positive journey. In a comfortable environment, she pulled out outfits she wanted to wear but was too apprehensive to wear. The CV crew hyped her up and genuinely had her feeling herself. Her social media went ablaze with all her amazing pictures from the trip. And my uncle? He fit right in with this lively crew of Curvy Ventures regulars, including my girls Kat, Kaydra and Toya, plus new faves like Chada who kept us knee slapping with laughter all trip long. Juan (one-half of the dynamic duo behind Curvy Ventures) kept us fed and hydrated with the good-good food poolside. I’m talking fish tacos, fries with the boujee aioli, jerk chicken fresh off the grill and some freshly fried festivals.
3. Poolside Shenanigans
Speaking of the pool—this was the heartbeat of our Jamaica trip. The laughs, convos, and impromptu TikToks were unmatched. Shoutout to the MVP of bartenders Hakeem, who kept the drinks flowing, joined in on content creation, and truly set the vibe.
4. Excursions That Slay
Negril was a vibe! Cliff diving at Rick’s Café? Check. Margaritaville? Check. Clear kayaking with the plus-size-friendly company Captain Moses? Triple check. Whether you’re all about the adrenaline or just there for the pics (shoutout to my fellow Negril sign posers), there’s something for everyone.The itinerary? Flexible. The fun? Unlimited!

5. The People Make the Trip
From my girls Kat and Toya to new besties like Chada, the crew was EVERYTHING. Familiar faces like Kaydra (basically everybody’s BFF), Joycita, content queen Natalee, Jaimi and Michele made the trip even better. And let’s not forget Shola and Anthony—bringing the perfect mix of chaos and calm to keep us balanced.
6. Content Creation Heaven
As a content creator, Curvy Ventures is my dream. I captured gorgeous moments with permission from everyone involved. No stuffy restrictions—just pure creative freedom. I even had a patty-off between Juici and Tastee (FYI: Tastee wins every time).
