Out With The Old
A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
“New Year, New Me”is so 2020. It’s the first month of 2021 and Shapely is focusing on doing away with the old. But first things first, pat yourself on the back, because you made it! 2020 was a doozy. Whether you breezed into 2021 or made it by the skin of your teeth, you’re here and that’s celebration worthy.
Celebrations are also in order as Shapely is hosting our first annual ski trip. A group of plus size beauties will be hitting the slopes of the beautiful Pocono mountains this month. While following all the necessary safety precautions, we are tossing out any doubt, fear and inhibitions we may have about our size and/or abilities. We are instead choosing to live out loud! If you are unable to join us, we hope you enjoy the outakes on our various media channels. We also hope it inspires you to join us next year.
Now back to our “Out with the Old” theme. What is the “old” you ask? Anything that brings negative energy into your space. Your mental, physical and emotional make-up is to be protected at all costs. This issue will feature articles that will help you with that. From solutions as simple as changing your curtains so you can sleep better to more complex ones that may require a bit of planning but will be very impactful.
As we look ahead, we hope you continue to enjoy our stories and experiences.. We also hope that all the fellas are enjoying our recently launched men’s section “Men Talk.” Shapely has some big things in store for our readers this year including more guest contributors and more of the stories you’ve been asking for.
